Learn Italian for cultural immersion with personalized classes, embracing discomfort, active listening, and mnemonic devices.
Learning Italian is an adventure that goes beyond simply acquiring a new language. It’s about immersing yourself in the vibrant culture and traditions of Italy. With over five years of experience teaching Italian both online and in person in Amsterdam, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my students. Armed with a Double Degree in Applied Languages and two Masters, I’m excited to guide you through this journey. Let’s explore how individual Italian classes, combined with effective learning tips, can help you achieve fluency and cultural immersion!
Leave Your Comfort Zone
Stepping out of your comfort zone is essential for mastering a new language. In our individual classes, you’ll be encouraged to take risks and try new things. Whether it’s speaking Italian in public or attempting to write a short story, these challenges will boost your confidence and accelerate your learning. Embracing discomfort as part of the process will make you more resilient and adaptable.

Listen
Listening is a critical component of language learning. In our classes, you’ll be exposed to a variety of Italian audio materials, including music, podcasts, and conversations. Active listening exercises will help you improve your comprehension skills and familiarize you with the natural rhythm and intonation of the language. The more you listen, the more attuned your ear will become to the nuances of Italian.
Make Mistakes
Mistakes are not just inevitable but also invaluable in the learning process. In our classes, we create a supportive environment where making mistakes is seen as a crucial step towards mastery. Each error is an opportunity to learn and improve. By embracing your mistakes, you’ll develop a growth mindset and become more comfortable using Italian in real-life situations.
Mnemonic Devices
Mnemonic devices are powerful tools for memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules. In our sessions, we’ll use creative and fun mnemonic techniques to help you retain information more effectively. Whether it’s associating a new word with a vivid image or creating a catchy rhyme, these memory aids will make your learning process more enjoyable and successful.
