My Journey to Teaching Excellence

My journey in language education began with a deep passion for sharing the beauty of the Italian language and culture with the world. This passion led me to pursue not just one, but two Master’s degrees focused on the methodology and didactics of teaching Italian as a second language and as a foreign language. I studied intensively at the prestigious Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the IPSEF in Milan, focusing on two key paths: teaching Italian to foreigners residing in Italy and teaching Italian abroad.

The advanced training I received was based on the recognition that the demographics of Italian learners have evolved significantly over the years. Traditional training methods no longer suffice due to rapidly advancing glottodidactic approaches and the need for tailored teaching methodologies, especially for adult learners. Italian is no longer seen merely as an immigrant language but is recognized globally as a critical second foreign language after English.
